Down, by Law – online performance
16h May 2020
Saturday’s program, on the 16h May 2020 at 19:00 hours, has “Down, by Law“, a co-authorial initiative by OOUR, by authors and performers Jelena Lopatić and Mila Čuljak, on its repertoire. The performance shown on ANTISEZONA 20 continues on the performance piece created as a co-production between co-authorial initiative OOUR and HNK Ivana pl. Zajca. During the 2017/2018 season, Jelena Lopatić won the audience award for Best Actor, while the piece won the audience award for Best Drama Play Overall in the Croatian Dramas program.
“In jargon, the the phrase ‘down by law’ has several different meanings. Jim Jarmusch, director of the film with the same name, ‘Down by Law’, says the phrase was used in street jargon during the 80s to signify a person you’re close with.
Divert (IMRC) and Dance Collective Magija – online dance performances
ANTISEZONA 20 online + live is bringing you a double bill weekend of works from Divert inclusive dance collective and Dance Collective Magija.
An inclusive approach to dance, one which makes contemporary dance available to dancers and choreographers of non-standard (physical and intellectual) abilities, is an integral part of the ANTISEZONA program. With their labour and dance performances, dancers with differently capable bodies change the perception of not only the performers’ bodies, but physicality itself on a broad social scale. In terms of choreography, working within the inclusive dance field destabilizes essential terms such as time, speed, gravitation, exposure, virtuosity, thus becoming a focal point of innovation in choreographic work and of questioning the practice of performance.
Found Choreography – online dance performance
This weekend we are very excited to invite a guest online+live performance FOUND CHOREOGRAPHY by five freshly graduated dance artists: Ivana Bojanić, Dora Brkarić, Viktoria Bubalo, Anna Javoran and Tea Maršanić, after the last weekend’s Close Encounters of a Dance Kind and screening of performance “Sve četiri za jedno. Na rubu dodira i kaosa.” by Ana Kreitmeyer, as well as publishing our blog antisezona.wordpress.com with the documentation of all events and writings by our guests and authors.
This collective work started last year while these five were still studying at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. Now they are picking up the work and preparing a translation of it for Antisezona online+live.
Found Choreography: having started with the idea of the movement of a flock of swallows, the authors are questioning the logic of the organization of movement and materials imposed by a new medium and how the work shifts and is shaped by it. The ground for this performance is made of a defined score, questioning of continuity and it’s interruption through the process of fragmentation, and how to work with appearance of glitch i.e. mistake in the system.

Close Encounters of a Dance Kind: Blank space or Our story of April 2020
Zoom version at ANTISEZONA online+live
Zoom ID: 906 582 748
A month ago four of us at ANTISEZONA, having our first episode of scheduled performances at Museum of Contemporary Art cancelled, have started an online+live format. Our intention was to create a platform of weekly meetings where we as artists collectively can continue working. We propose situations of live events, expanding our capabilities of sensing, both outwards – towards others beyond screens, in physical spaces that might not be too far away for us to empathize with and connect to, and inwards – making our bodies and their senses alive.
Close Encounters of a Dance Kind was already developed by ANTISEZONA last year, it is a playful/conversational/performative format for meeting and exchange of different people.

What is it that should become?
– online live performance by Sonja Pregrad
This work is standing (taking a halt). This work is breathing. This work is dancing. This work is crying.
This work works by embodying its conditional landscape (a term by Marjana Krajač from the text about our work ‘Value is a dynamic surplus of any function’ that is a vision from the future).
Thanks to Marjana, thanks to Keith Henessy and all my other improvisation teachers who taught me improvisation is a political tool, thanks to Antisezonke for the unconditional landscape. In respect to all who embody the struggle.
After the performance, join us for the Hangover session – a conversation repercussing the performance and sharing thoughts, sounds and silences @Zoom platform, Meeting ID: 906 582 748, Pass: 1142020

Still wishing you to be as safe, grounded and empathic as one can be and with a thought about all those whose life at the moment does not provide conditions for that,
We are inviting you to join our weekly Saturday evening program online+live
This Saturday, 4th of April at 7 PM,
this time for a format of a live and online talk:
WHERE ARE OUR BODIES?
– a conversation about the root changes in our everyday life and artistic practices, about political and poetical implications of the current crisis and about the need to and ways how to protect community, networks and solidarity in times of such radical isolation and exposure.
Melone Pataphysica No-Body
With a whole new range of transparency, still, and motion picture we present this Performance as evidence.
In an old yet newly discovered digital format, we leave ourselves open to charges of being ahistorical or flimsy, light and flaky, and we call upon this performance as a witness.
A witness of ?
The work collected here aims to displace the tyranny of identity, and instead to think about acts?
Theatrical acts, performance acts, circus acts?
Staged are: Acts of love. Acts of care. Acts of dancing to some Satie if we want to. Acts of speaking from a position of your alien other because I have to. New and yet prior notions of acts. Of acting out. Overacting. Overexplaining. Explaining acts.
